About Us

Founded by Rod Edyvean in February 2004, Goodlock Locksmiths has grown from very humble beginnings. It all began when Rod worked from a battered old 1976 Holden Ute with two toolboxes bolted on the back.

Rod purchased a Mancuna key duplicating machine that was over 30 years old, which once serviced and rebuilt, was put into service. Whilst now never used, this machine remains in Rod’s possession today.
As the demand for Rod’s products and services grew, so did Goodlock Locksmiths.

Within twelve months, the old ute had been upgraded to what would become an infamous icon of the business: a bright yellow Ford panel van. With more cargo space, the business continued to grow, and over the next few years Rod racked up many thousands of kilometres serving the entire Riverina.

Rod forged a reputation for providing services, advice and prices that were second to none. With a growing reputation and loyal client base came the need to increase stock holdings, and of course, the purchase of newer and more efficient machinery. Goodlock Locksmiths are now furnished with many different types of key machines for cutting a vast array of different keys. With well over 1,000 different types of blank keys in stock, there is very little that Goodlock Locksmiths can't cut keys for.

Good service, good advice and good price has become known as the Goodlock experience by many.

In the interests of maintaining this level of exceptional customer service, Rod upgraded the old yellow van to what can only be described as a complete mobile workshop. With on-board key cutting facilities, this fully-equipped and stocked mobile workshop is always there when you need it. Often complimented on his ability to fit such a large amount of equipment into an otherwise small van, you will be amazed at just how much stock and equipment Rod carries with him in his day-to-day travels. What Rod does not carry with him, however, is often in stock back in his workshop; this way, even if it’s not on-site with Rod, what you need is never far away.

October 2009: Rod felt there was something missing in his service! Opening his ears and listening to his customers, he realised he was overlooking an important aspect of locksmithing: automotive locksmithing.

With this realisation, Rod again expanded the business to include complete automotive locksmith services. The mobile workshop now has facilities to handle all of your automotive locksmithing needs including lost keys, extra keys cut, lock repairs and diagnostic services.
A shop to call home.

February 2012: After much demand from our valued customers, the decision was made to open a shop which is located at 219 Urana Street in Wagga Wagga. With over 10 times the floor space we’ve had previously, there is nothing too big or small for us to handle at Goodlock Locksmiths.

Clients can now drop in from 8.30a.m. to 5.00p.m. Monday through Friday and from 9.00a.m. to 12.00p.m. Saturdays to have keys duplicated and to purchase locks and security hardware. They can also book a whole range of jobs in the workshop — everything from getting car keys and locks repaired, refitted and reprogrammed to having a safe opened or repaired.

If you’re coming in from out of town, give us a call and arrange your booking. Once you arrive, take a seat in the air-conditioned showroom, read a magazine and enjoy a cuppa whilst you wait.

Goodlock Locksmiths will continue to provide very convenient mobile service. This means that Goodlock Locksmiths can still come to you wherever and whenever you need us.

So what now?

We plan to be here, bringing you the same good service and advice for many years to come. We will continue to be involved in our great community, as well as employ locals and train them in the art of locksmithing so that they can continue to help you when needed.
